Electromagnetic Compatibility(International Certification)

IC(Industry Canada)

IC (Industry Canada) is a Canadian telecommunications standard, similar to the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) in the United States. It is a standard aimed at ensuring the safety of life and property in radio and other communication environments. Most electrical and electronic devices, including communication devices and PCs, must obtain IC approval to be exported to Canada.

* Terminals and Type I wireless communication devices require industrial certification in Canada, whereas Type 2 wireless communication devices can be sold without separate industrial certification if they comply with the technical specifications.

Guidelines for Test Registration

  • When submitting the initial testing request, it is mandatory to provide the business registration certificate.
  • If the applying company is different from the invoice-issuing company, the testing request must include the contact person/contact number/email of the invoice-issuing company.
  • Upload documents required for testing, such as product specifications and product photos (user manuals, documents outlining differences in the case of derivative models, etc.).
  • The required quantity of samples for certification is one unit, unless specific circumstances necessitate otherwise (additional requests can be made if necessary).
  • Clearly indicate the quantity of samples.
  • Testing will proceed only after the sample has been received and the testing fee has been paid in full.
  • The testing fee is subject to internal regulations of the institute.
  • Domestic testing fees should be transferred to the following account: (Bank) Woori Bank 974-023999-13-007 (Account Holder) KIEL Research Institute.
  • Submission document templates
  • Delays or insufficient submission of documents may result in delayed issuance of test reports.
